Sad News

I was saddened to hear that Mike Edmonds owner and founder of the Blue Walnut Cafe, Chelston, Torquay passed away on April 5th after a brave fight against cancer. He will be missed by family, friends, music lovers, musicians.
I first stumbled on The Blue Walnut Cafe about three years ago for an open mic evening. I was overwhelmed by the warmth and charm and free soup!
A talented musician in is own right Mike recently recorded an album 'Milonga' all proceeds of which will go to Cancer Research Uk
An album launch and "Celebration" of Mike's life will be held on Saturday June 5th at 7.00pm at The Toorak Hotel, Torquay. The evening will mirror Mike's arts events at the Blue Walnut Cafe with live music, poetry, art, film and much more.
